Mononucleosis is a viral disease and being caused by virus i.e. Epstein Bars virus.
Generally symptoms are
a) Acute fever.
b) Sore throat.
c) Swollen glands.
Method of spread
It spreads person to person via saliva or articles contaminated with saliva.
(the period between the initial infection and the appearance of symptoms.)
Usually takes 4-6 weeks from date of contact.
(the time during which an infectious agent may be transferred directly or indirectly)
The disease can spread till the infection persists.
a) Proper hand washing
b) Careful disposal of articles soiled with nose and throat discharge.
a) Consult with physician.
b) Take proper rest.
c) Increase fluids and healthy nutrients in the diet.
d) Control fever with medicine as doctor advised.
